Erica G. Perel, Esq. is Of Counsel and leads the public sector FOIA contracting group for MA. Ms. Perel has extensive C-Suite executive level managerial experience administering the staffing, case volume and process demands required to operate complex governmental Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) support services effectively and efficiently. She has substantial experience working on Privacy Act and related privacy matters.

Ms. Perel has more than sixteen (16) years of experience within the Federal government. She has gained extensive experience as counsel to the DHS Chief FOIA Officer and as a TSA Senior Counsel and (acting) Assistant Chief Counsel in the General Law Division, Information Law Section handling FOIA, Privacy Act and privacy-related matters in coordination with the FOIA and privacy analysts, and the TSA Privacy Office. Ms. Perel has an extraordinarily strong understanding of the numerous FOIA legal and operational issues.

Ms. Perel has practiced at the highest level in matters involving FOIA and Privacy Act matters including the DHS coordinated response to Hurricane Katrina. She has attended numerous FOIA training courses and maintains a working knowledge of the changing FOIA and Privacy Act legal landscape.
